Business DNA™Assessment Architecture
A production-ready, 85-question dynamic assessment that classifies organizations across 12 scoring dimensions, assigns a Business DNA Type™, and feeds every downstream intelligence engine with calibrated, confidence-weighted organizational data.
Five-Layer Assessment Architecture
Business DNA™ is not a survey — it's a production assessment engine with dynamic question routing, multi-factor scoring, organizational classification, benchmark normalization, and API-first output that feeds every downstream intelligence engine.
1. Question Framework
85 questions across 9 domains with dynamic branching logic — industry, size, and maturity-adaptive paths
2. Scoring Engine
12 scoring dimensions with weighted factor analysis, confidence calibration, and benchmark normalization
3. Classification Engine
Business DNA Type™ assignment + 5 readiness scores + organizational archetype classification
4. Benchmark Engine
Industry, revenue, employee-count, and growth-stage normalized benchmarks with confidence intervals
5. Output Layer
Executive Report + API endpoints feeding Scout™, Workforce Intelligence™, Executive Intelligence™, and Enterprise Intelligence Advisor™
Business DNA™ is the single input layer. Every downstream engine reads organizational structure, scores, and classification from DNA — no duplicate data entry, no inconsistent organizational profiles across engines.
85 Questions Across 9 Domains
Every question is a structured data point with a defined type, validation rules, confidence weight, and downstream engine mapping. No free-text fields — every response feeds the scoring and classification engines.
12-Factor Scoring Engine
Each dimension is calculated from weighted question responses, normalized against industry and size benchmarks, and calibrated with a confidence score.
Each dimension score is multiplied by its weight and confidence factor. The sum is divided by the sum of weighted confidence factors. CF below 0.40 reduces dimension contribution.

8 Business DNA Types™
Each organization is assigned a primary DNA Type™ based on its scoring profile across all 12 dimensions. DNA Types determine the default downstream engine pathways, recommendation prioritization, and benchmark peer group.
High growth, strong revenue trajectory, scaling rapidly — needs operational infrastructure to support growth
Well-run, profitable, mature operations — needs growth acceleration and market expansion
Resilient, risk-managed, steady performer — needs innovation injection and growth catalyst
Significant headwinds — revenue decline, operational gaps, workforce instability. Highest upside from platform engagement
Crossing the chasm from founder-led to institutional — needs processes, systems, and governance
Active M&A, portfolio expansion, value creation focus — needs integration intelligence and portfolio analytics
Location-based business model — needs replication intelligence, consistency monitoring, and benchmark analytics
Tech-forward, high automation, digital-native — needs scaling intelligence and market dominance strategy
Multi-Dimensional Benchmarking
Each organization is benchmarked against 6 peer dimensions simultaneously — producing a composite benchmark that acknowledges no single dimension defines a peer group.
Primary benchmark — compares against structurally similar organizations
Normalizes for scale — a $5M company is not compared to a $500M company
Workforce-scale normalization for workforce and operational metrics
Contextualizes metrics — growth-stage benchmarks differ from mature-stage
Peer comparison within the same organizational archetype — Builders vs. Builders
Multi-location normalization for consistency and replication metrics
One Assessment. Every Engine.
Business DNA™ is the single source of organizational truth. Scout™ Engine reads DNA to identify opportunities. Workforce Intelligence™ reads DNA to model workforce scenarios. Executive Intelligence™ reads DNA to build dashboards. The Enterprise Intelligence Advisor™ reads DNA to calibrate recommendations. One input, infinite downstream intelligence.
